Our First Full Day in Glasogow

From spaghetti in Calgary, to Starbuck in Heathrow, to Haggis in East Kilbride, our teams' arrival in Scotland was more than amazing! We spent our first full day in Scotland touring New Lanarkshire World Heritage Site. It was phenomenally to see such old buildings and to learn of the yarn pulling industry. We spent the day touring around various buildings looking at an old classroom, market, and home learning of the self contained town in the area. After lunch we even went on a wee hike along the Clyde river, taking photographs of the beautiful falls, wild orange "toadstools" and even maple leaves!

After our day, we were treated for a traditional Scottish dinner at Nina and Jim's home, one of our tour guides for the day, with our host families. The meal consisted our traditional haggis, mashed potatoes, turnip, and mouth watering apple tart. And if course this memorable occasion wouldn't be complete without a photo opportunity! All of you know that I wouldn't let you down!

Tomorrow will be our first vocational day independently and in the evening we will have our first presentation at our local Club.

Until next time,
